After being selected for more than two dozen film festivals around the world and winning five awards internationally, Body-Buildings arrives this Thursday, September 14th, in Portuguese cinemas.
The film, directed by Henrique Pina, depicts a unique reunion between Dance, Architecture and Cinema, bringing together six choreographies by Tânia Carvalho, Vera Maintaino, Victor Hugo Pontes, Jonas & Lander, Olga Roriz and Paulo Ribeiro. These original creations, designed specifically for the big screen, take shape in emblematic architectural spaces designed by João Luís Carrilho da Graça, Álvaro Siza Vieira, Eduardo Souto de Moura, João Mendes Ribeiro, Paulo David and Manuel Aires Mateus.
In Lisbon, Body-Buildings will be showing at Cinema City Alvalade and Cinema Fernando Lopes from the 14th of September, a date that will also mark its premiere in Porto, at Cinema Trindade.
There will be two screenings in Funchal, part of "Screenings Funchal", which will take place on the 15th and 16th of September, at Cinemas NOS Fórum Madeira.
The screenings in Coimbra are scheduled for the 18th and 19th of September, at Casa do Cinema de Coimbra.
We leave some dates on which special sessions will take place, with the presence of the director:
